AfterShokz (NEW) Titanium Mini!

Some of my favorite companies were at CES this year, and one of them is AfterShokz.  You can read all about my first experience here.  AfterShokz combines the safety of bone conduction with lightweight headsets that allows the user to run, walk, and do just about anything, all while hearing his/her surroundings.  Since some models connect via Bluetooth, there are no wires to worry about, and your ears won't get sore from buds or heavy headsets.  If you prefer a wired device, they also carry wired models.

FitBands, and carrying bag.

I was really impressed with the mini headset.  I had been using the Bluez 2, which is similar to the Bluez 2S.  It traveled well, but is heavier and much more rigid because of the plastic.  I LOVE the titanium line because they are thin and have a silicone cover, which makes them much more pliable.  Since they don't go in your ear, there is no soreness which is associated with headphones and earbuds.  There are two sizes:  Titanium and Titanium Mini, which was the set I was given, and it is perfect!  I have a small head (I can only buy kid-sized hats unless they're beanies), so with the Bluez 2, I always needed the adjusting band to keep the headset from falling off.  With the mini, I no longer have that problem.  You can see the difference between the models, with the FitBand(s), below.

The mini is perfect for adults (with smaller heads) and children.  If your kids like to listen to music on their way to school or during sports activities, these mini headsets are the perfect way to listen safely.  Not only will they be able to hear the audio, they will also be able to hear their surroundings.  The wireless headsets can be paired with computers, most smartphones, and iPods.  I have mine paired to my laptop and iPhone.  To pair the device, make sure Bluetooth is enabled.  Turn on the headset-- you will hear it power on.  Once you see the headset on your device, click to pair it.  If you have trouble pairing like I did, you may have to hold the power button on the headset for a few seconds before it is recognized.  After pairing, you're all set!  You can adjust the volume, check the battery status, and more!  AfterShokz are sweat and moisture resistant, but they should not be submerged nor left in wet conditions (i.e. rain).  For more information, click here to read the FAQ and here to read the User Guide (in English).

A HUGE "thank you" to the beautiful people at AfterShokz for the wireless stereo headphones!   They are my daily must-have for the gym and while I'm out about town.  The Titanium models retail for $129.95, and the Bluez 2S retail for $99.95.  Wired models start at $39.95, and you can purchase all sorts of accessories here.  Definitely give them a try.  Your ears will thank you.

Stay beautiful!
