A Vegan Diet Journey

My partner (now fiancée) does not eat a bunch of crap, and neither do I.  Now, if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that we do like to try new things that aren’t always the healthiest.  And that is okay.  This topic is for another, more in-depth piece, but I have a real issue with putting huge constraints on food unless you have a legitimate medical issue, and must not have certain things.  Anyway, my fiancée fell ill, and part of the recovery process is really watching what he puts in his body.  While he is very skeptical of adopting a plant-based diet, the doctors recommended it as a way of helping to repair the damage.
Without going into too much detail, his current condition is hardly his fault.  He had food poisoning which led to a more severe health concern.  After being in the hospital for a few days, he said that he would even adopt a vegan diet if it meant he would be back to normal.  Never in a million years did I think I would hear that from the one guy I know who loves meat and dairy.  Will adopting a lifestyle change (food-wise) make a difference?  Only time will tell.  We are going to test out a vegan diet for 30 days.  As we all know, there is a huge misconception that all vegan food is healthy.  So we will try to limit the amount of processed foods, sugar, salt, and fat that we take in, and try making our own products instead.

What are your favorite, clean, vegan recipes?  Let us know, and we can try them out!

Stay beautiful!
