Cash Back with ibotta

I don't normally hype up cash back programs because they simply haven't worked for me.  I used eBates and never received the cash back.  Then, I signed up for ibotta, and it actually worked.  There are a few things to note:  (1)  It takes a little bit of work, but it's worth it (especially if you need some extra cash), (2)  You have to have at least $20.00 to withdraw funds.  Withdrawals can be in the form of vemno, PayPal, or a gift card!  You can always save up your earnings to make a bigger withdrawal.  FAQ.  Shopping online?  Be sure to launch ibotta  FIRST.  Then, find the shop you are purchasing from, and click the shop icon.  The app or site will launch from ibotta, and you will get cashback on your qualifying purchase.  You can also link your loyalty cards (i.e. KMart), which allows you to skip the receipt upload and scanning of barcodes.  Currently, there are 287 stores to from which you will earn cash back.

I like to choose the store I'm headed to and open to app to see what cash back options are available.  I mark the ones that are interesting and proceed to the shopping.  I'll also shop with the app open and scan barcodes to make sure the product is part of the promotion.  For places like Target and Sprouts, that have their own loyalty/savings app, I keep both open.  Ibotta will work with other in-store promotions and discounts.  For example, Sprouts had a sale on cashew milk for $3.99 per carton.  Ibotta had an instant $5.00 cash back on the purchase of any two cashew milk cartons of the same brand.  So I paid $8.00, and got the $5.00 cash back, for a total of approximately $3.00 (had I withdrawn that day) for the two cartons.  Not bad, eh?  There are also various bonuses and team objectives for getting even more cash back.
