Terms and Conditions
This blog is a
personal blog, maintained and written solely by me. I am not affiliated
with any of the companies I review, nor am I provided payment for any reviews I
write. At times, product may be provided for a review. Please be
aware and stay up-to-date on the following Terms and Conditions, as they may
change at any time without notice.
Promotional Discount Codes and Affiliate Links
Some of the affiliate links and promotional discounts offered provide a small commission. Commission includes, but is not limited to: Money, percentages off of future purchases, and/or money towards products on the specified website. For questions, please send an e-mail. I do not mind if
the link to my blog is shared or mentioned to others. I also do not mind
if parts of it are referenced, such as a particular product review in one's own
analysis. If you decide to share/use the contents of my website or blog,
you agree (1) not to alter any content, (2) provide proper name credit, (3) not
use it outside of its original purpose, and (4) understand that images may be
subject to copyright. All photos belong to those whose name appear with
them. If you are going to use my blog, in full or in part (including, but
not limited to written content, images, etc.), you must obtain written consent. Using images that
belong to another is strictly prohibited unless you have obtained written
consent from the rightful owner.
Reviews and
Posts
Everything written
on this blog is my own opinion, and I have purchased nearly all of the items
with my own money. When an item is provided to me, the person(s) or
company from which it came (including, but not limited to an PR firm, and/or
the company/corporation/entity itself) will be referenced. All comments,
posts, etc. by me are, as previously stated, my own, which include, but are not
limited to the following: Opinions, experiences, findings, and beliefs.
Statements that appear to be a claim about a product should be verified by the
company. Any direct claims about a product (i.e. functionality,
durability, etc.) are my own opinion, and I do not make claims without proof to
support it. It is important to note that not all experiences will be the
same, and each individual situation is unique, and should be treated as such.
Ethics are key,
and it is unethical to be bribed or compensated for a staged opinion, thus I am
never and will never give a false opinion of a product for compensation,
monetary or otherwise. Not all feedback can be positive, and never at any
time, will I be compensated to produce a positive review nor will I be
influenced to do so. As of 03.18.2015, I am not provided compensation (money
or otherwise) for any advertising, and have not allowed advertising,
sponsorship, or the like on this blog. As previously stated, all
opinions, experiences, etc. are my own, and others' may be different.
Reviews and posts
can range from anything of the following categories: Technology,
food/restaurants, jewelry, arts & crafts, small businesses, fashion (i.e.
handbags, shoes, clothing, etc.), personal opinions, life experiences, personal
effects, and others. Again, all opinions, experiences, etc. noted are
100% my own, and will never be altered for compensation of any kind. At
no time will any post contain within it legal, medical, financial, or any other
type of advice, as it is 1. illegal, and 2. outside of the
boundaries of competency.
Giveaways and
Contests
Should a giveaway
and/or contest take place, the following rules and regulations are in place
unless otherwise specified:
- Only ONE entry, per person, during the lifetime of the
giveaway/contest is allowed.
- Multiple
entries will not be accepted at any time.
- NO purchase is necessary.
- Entry must
be made and received within the governing time of the giveaway/contest.
- Entries
are not accepted after the given closing date.
- All
participants must be able to be contacted. At minimum, per
giveaway/contest, the entrant will be asked to provide a valid email address
and name.
- All
entrants must meet the following criteria:
- 18 years of age or older.
- Be a legal United States resident (any of the 50 states; no
territories), unless otherwise specified.
- Must have a physical address. No P.O. Boxes will be
accepted.
- Must meet the all requirements of the giveaway/contest.
- All
requirements will be verified to ensure that the prospective winner has met the
requirements of the giveaway/contest.
- The winner
is chosen at random, unless otherwise specified, and dependent on the number of
entries received.
- The winner
will be contacted via direct message on Facebook, Twitter, or other specified
social media site, and/or email.
- Once
contacted, the winner has 2 days (48 hours) to respond. If the chosen winner does
not respond within the allotted time, a new winner will be chosen.
- The
winner, upon acceptance, agrees to provide the following contact information
for shipping purposes:

- Upon
acceptance of the prize, the winner acknowledges that s/he meets all of the
criteria as noted by their governing body (i.e. state), and meets all
requirements of the giveaway. Requirements include, but are not limited
to the entrant criteria and giveaway/contest criteria).
- Prizes
will be shipped via USPS, unless otherwise specified, and may take 4-8 weeks to
arrive or longer.
- I and my
blog are not responsible for lost or stolen items, nor responsible for delayed
or prizes not received. Once the prize is dropped off at the post office/shipping facility, it is no longer in
my hands. Lost/stolen prizes will not be replaced.
- Giveaway duration may be changed at the blogger's discretion.
- Void where
prohibited by law. While personal blog giveaways should be all in good
fun, the governing laws do apply.
- Darphynia's Diary, it's blogger(s), and any others associated with the blog
are not responsible for any negative reactions to products contained within
giveaways. If your skin, body, etc. reacts negatively, or if there is an
allergy reaction, discontinue use and consult your physician.
- Darphynia's Diary, it's blogger(s), and any others associated with the blog
will not be held responsible for any consequences (monetary or otherwise)
should skin, body, etc. react negatively to any giveaway products.
- Products
for giveaways/contests are purchased by the blogger unless otherwise
specified. No company, entity, or otherwise is affiliated with,
sponsoring, or in any way connected to the giveaway/contest unless otherwise
specified.
- Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram, and other social media networks are NEVER
associated/affiliated with any giveaways. Giveaways requiring the
"Like" of a page are not endorsed nor sponsored by Facebook.
Facebook is released of any and all ties per entrant as stated in their policy
for posting promotions, which can be reviewed here.
Entrants will NEVER be asked to "share" a post to their timeline or
the timeline of anyone else. You will NEVER be asked to "tag"
friends on/in posts or in photos.
- If you post
a photo during any contest, you relinquish rights to have it posted and used
even after the event has ended, in any manner that is seen fit, without being
altered. Please note that all identifying information will be destroyed
once the winner's/winners' prize(s) are sent as a means of protecting the
winner(s).
- Except
where prohibited, this blog and myself are held harmless against any claim
and/or cause of action due to participation in a giveaway/contest, and are not
responsible for any damages (i.e. legal, direct, indirect. etc).
- You may be
disqualified if the entry is fraudulent, you have not met the requirements, or
for any other non-compliance.
Reader Privacy
Your privacy is
incredibly important. At no time will any information be provided to
third parties, nor will it be sold or traded to any entity, person, or
corporation. Should a case arise, you will be notified, and/or your expressed consent will obtained.
