FabFitFun [in a] box!

Image
There are so many subscription boxes and programs out there now that it is hard to keep track.  Recently, I purchased the FabFitFun box to see what $49.99 could really get me.  I also used a promo code that got me two extras, but one has not arrived yet.  For first-time subscribers, they have other promo code incentives, such as $10.00 off your first box. I had seen the FabFitFun ad plastered all over my Facebook page , so I decided to see what others thought about it.  The reviews were generally positive, so I signed up, and my box was shipped 10 business days after I placed my order.  The site does mention that boxes will ship 10 business days after payment, unless (1) you have signed up before, or (2) the box is sold out.  In that case, you have to wait until the next season's box.  You can upgrade your membership as well, which will allow you to customize your box, for $20.00 more/month. When the box arrived, I thought, "Damn, this is heavy!"...

Clearer Skin with Nature's Chemist Skincare

Image
The older I get, the more my skin changes.  I went from never breaking out to breaking out (I guess my skin is making up for lost time), and I HATE it.  Nature's Chemist provides high-quality, organic, 100% pure essential oils to combat skin concerns.  Dr.  Lori Culberson, founder of Nature's Chemist, received her PhD in chemistry, and knows exactly what works.  She took the time to research the combinations and quantities of oils to create the most effective skincare.   Image courtesy of Nature's Chemist I must admit that I am fairly new to face oils.  I always thought that it would just leave my skin feeling like an oil slick...boy, was I wrong!  Not only have the breakouts all but stopped, I also don't have the dry patches that I did before, and the oils are very lightweight.  Prior to my absence, I was in the mountains, which completely dried out my skin (have you noticed that?).  These oils saved my face.  They als...

Makeup Monday: LUSH Cosmetics, Full of Grace Serum

Image
Overall, I like the products that LUSH Cosmetics supplies.  Every so-often, there's a product that I can't wait to try, and it totally disappoints.  One of those happened the Full of Grace face moisturizer/serum solid. It's small (fits in the palm of my hand & I have to wear youth gloves, so it's VERY small!) and pricey, both of which I could have cared less about had it worked. Reading the positive reviews, it sounded promising.  Image courtesy of lushusa.com You heat the product up in your hands to soften the bar, then apply it to your face after washing.  The ingredients include chamomile, portobello mushroom, and murumuru butter, among others (I'll have the complete ingredient list at the end).  The bar is moisturizing (though many say it is greasy) and lightweight; pluses!  Full of Grace also contains calamine powder, and I use calamine all the time.  It is especially effective on clearing my skin of any pimples; also a plus....
